“What’s In A Touch?” (Digital/Promo)
[AVITA Laptop]
Written originally as a promotion for their super slick “Admiror” Laptop, the script and subsequent video went on to become their submission to an Innovative Tech competition. I didn’t think too much of it, until they came back with the news:
The video took first place. AVITA won.
“Email: 6 Reasons Why & 7 Ways How” (E-Comm)
In addition to blog posts, I also currently write YouTube scripts for Cindy May Marketing. These weekly videos offer tips, tricks, and actionable advice in regards to Nonprofit Marketing. They’re simple, useful, and consistent.
For some of them I write something new, for others I repurpose content from Cindy’s previous podcast episodes, but one way or the other, I write the scripts, she films the video, and then I edit, add graphics, and optimize for search. #TeamWork
“James Horne: Realtor” (Web/Social)
[James Horne Real Estate]
James needed content for his website. But not just any old content. Video content. An exciting, eye-catching, and entertaining short to embed on his home page and promote on other social channels. So I wrote two different scripts, he chose the one he liked more, and the production process began soon thereafter.
He absolutely loves how it turned out. So do I.
“ZombieGram” (Competition Piece)
[Rode Mic]
Every year, Rode Mic hosts the “My Rode Reel” Competition, challenging filmmakers across the globe to see who can create the best 3-minute short films for a handful of different categories.
I knew exactly what I wanted to write. Because I’d already started writing it. This would be my chance to produce a “Proof of Concept” of sorts for the pilot episode of a TV show I’m working on. A pre-pilot, if you will. I had it written within hours.
With the help of Captiv Creative, we planned, cast, produced, edited, and submitted this short (and an accompanying “Behind The Scenes” video) all within about 72 hours. It was a whirlwind, but we pulled it off. I’m still grateful to the cast and crew of characters that came together to make it happen.
“Quarantinis” (Web Series)
At the beginning of the pandemic, in March of 2020, I arrived in Houston from New York City, “for two or three weeks, to let everything blow over.” Ahhh, to be young and foolish again.
During deep quarantine, I decided to put my newfound free time to work. I had access to my brain, my cousin’s production equipment, and an empty cocktail bar down the street that agreed to let me film there. I started writing immediately.
And that’s how my web series “Quarantinis" came to be - a lonely bartender, in an empty bar, with time and costumes to spare.
There are seven episodes of the series, each with a unique character. And, to top it off, each episode teaches you to make a different cocktail.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
